Sam Smith (Singer) who is now 23-year-old says taking on the Bond theme is my career highlight, as producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli say it is one of the greatest of all time.
Samuel Frederick “Sam” Smith (born 19 May 1992) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in October 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure’s breakthrough single “Latch”, which peaked at number eleven on the UK Singles Chart. His subsequent feature—on Naughty Boy’s “La La La”—earned him his first number one single in May 2013.
Sam Smith has confirmed he will sing the theme song for the new Bond movie, Spectre.
The song is called Writing’s On The Wall and will be unveiled on 25 September.
British star Smith dropped a massive hint on Monday when he tweeted a picture of a ring featuring the Spectre logo.
He confirmed the news in a series of tweets, describing it as “one of the highlights of my career”.
Smith becomes the first British male solo singer to record the Bond theme since 1965.
Spectre producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said it would “surely be considered one of the greatest Bond songs of all time”.
